By accessing or using BookStream's eBook subscription service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and BookStream eBook Services ("BookStream," "we," "us," or "our"). You must be at least 16 years old to use our Service.

2. Service Description

BookStream provides a digital subscription service that grants unlimited access to our eBook library. Our service includes:

3. Account Registration

Account Requirements

To use our Service, you must create an account by providing:

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials

4. Subscription and Billing

Monthly Subscription Plans

Our service operates on a monthly subscription basis. Current pricing and plan details are available on our pricing page. Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance.

Payment Methods

Automatic Renewal

Your subscription will automatically renew each month unless you cancel before the next billing cycle. You will be charged the then-current subscription rate.

Failed Payments

If payment fails, we will:

• Attempt to process payment again within 7 days
• Send email notifications to update payment information
• Suspend access after 7 days of failed payment attempts
• Cancel subscription after 30 days without successful payment

5. Free Trial Period

New customers may be eligible for a free trial period of up to 3 days. During this period, you have full access to our service without charge.

Trial Terms

• Trial period begins when you create your account
• Valid payment method required to start trial
• Automatic conversion to paid subscription unless cancelled
• One trial per customer (based on email, payment method, and address)
• Full service access including unlimited downloads during trial

To avoid charges, you must cancel your subscription before the trial period ends. Cancellation takes effect immediately, ending your access to the service.

6. Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Return Policy)

In accordance with German law, you have the right to withdraw from your subscription contract within 14 days of signing up, without giving any reason.

Withdrawal Period

The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day you enter into the subscription contract. However, your right of withdrawal expires prematurely if you download any eBooks during this period, as this constitutes acceptance of the service.

You may use our Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only. This includes:

• Downloading eBooks for your personal reading

Prohibited Activities

• Remove copyright notices or digital rights management
• Use automated tools to download content
• Share your account credentials with others
• Circumvent download limits or security measures
• Use the service for commercial purposes
• Reverse engineer or attempt to access our systems unlawfully

Download Limits and Fair Use

While we offer unlimited downloads, we monitor usage patterns to prevent abuse. Excessive downloading that suggests commercial use or account sharing may result in account restrictions.

8. Intellectual Property Rights

All eBooks, content, trademarks, and intellectual property on our Service are owned by BookStream or our content licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Your License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use eBooks solely for personal, non-commercial purposes during your active subscription.

License Restrictions

• License is personal to you and cannot be transferred
• License terminates when your subscription ends
• No right to modify, adapt, or create derivative works
• No right to publicly display or distribute content

9. Download Policies

Download Process

eBooks are provided through a secure cart and confirmation system:

• Add eBooks to your cart (displayed as €0.00 for subscribers)
• Confirm your download selection
• Receive time-limited download links (valid for 24 hours)
• Download links are tied to your user account for security

Download Limitations

• Download links expire after 24 hours for security
• Each eBook can be downloaded multiple times during your subscription
